Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild has many types of gardens, perfect for a romantic walk and lunch in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, South of France!
Before heading down the coast, we made sure to explore Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. It’s not far from the Welcome Hotel in Villefranche-sur-mer. It is a gorgeous seaside villa built in the early 1900s by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild. The estate has beautiful gardens that you can frolic through, inspired from the gardens around the world. There are paths that lead from the Spanish gardens to the Italian gardens. Then, there is the Japanese zen garden leading to the rose garden and provencal garden. The best one of all is the French garden right in front of the villa.
This is definitely a romantic spot for you and your favorite person to walk through together for an hour or two and really stop to smell the roses! There are tours inside the villa and a restaurant inside the villa as well if you want to prolong your stay. FYI, Covid did not really change much except for one way arrows indoors.
Enough talk, Let’s go for a walk!
